Château Beauséjour (Duffau-Lagarrosse)
Château Beauséjour (Duffau-Lagarrosse) – A New Chapter in Saint-Émilion
Set on the celebrated limestone plateau and south-west-facing slopes of Saint-Émilion, Château Beauséjour (Duffau-Lagarrosse) is one of Bordeaux’s distinguished estates, classified Premier Grand Cru Classé. With a history rooted in the Duffau-Lagarrosse family since 1847, the estate combines generations of heritage with a renewed ambition to express the exceptional character of its terroir.
In 2021, Beauséjour entered a new chapter through the partnership of Joséphine Duffau-Lagarrosse, representing the ninth generation of her family’s winemaking heritage, and Prisca Courtin, granddaughter of Jacques Courtin, founder of Clarins. The Courtin family, whose interests include the Clarins Group, brought a long-term vision and fresh investment to the estate, while Joséphine continues to safeguard its legacy and guide its winemaking.
The estate’s distinctive limestone-rich soils, together with its predominantly Merlot and Cabernet Franc plantings, shape wines of remarkable precision, finesse and depth. The philosophy is centred on elegance, freshness and the authentic expression of place, balancing concentration with refined tannins and the structure to develop beautifully with age.
Château Beauséjour represents the meeting of an exceptional Saint-Émilion terroir, a historic family legacy and a new generation committed to excellence.
Vintage’82 Ltd has been the exclusive importer of Château Beauséjour (Duffau-Lagarrosse) in Malta since 2025, bringing the estate’s wines to Maltese collectors, private clients and discerning hospitality professionals.
