Concept:
Bordeaux is one of the world’s most influential wine regions, but the grapes that made it famous – Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc – tell many different stories depending on where they are grown and how they are interpreted by the winemaker.
In this guided tasting at the Vintage82 wine space within Csociety, we explore four wines connected by Bordeaux grape varieties and philosophy, yet each expressing a distinct sense of place.
The evening begins with the elegant white Château Côte Montpezat Blanc from Graves, a historic appellation where Bordeaux whites have been produced for centuries. Made primarily from Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, this wine shows the balance, texture and subtle complexity that have long defined the region.
We then move to the intriguing La Canon Blanc de Noirs, a rare white wine produced from red Bordeaux grapes. This unconventional style offers a fascinating look at how grape varieties can express themselves in unexpected ways.
The third wine, Croix de Haut Bernat, brings us to the Right Bank of Bordeaux, where Merlot dominates the blend. Supple, generous and classically structured, it represents the approachable charm that has made Right Bank wines so widely appreciated.
Finally, we conclude with La Cabane – Comte de Thun, a Cabernet Franc from Gaillac in southwest France. This wine shows how a grape closely associated with Bordeaux can reveal a very different personality when grown in another historic region.
Throughout the evening, guests will taste the wines side by side while discussing grape varieties, terroir and winemaking approaches. A selection of artisanal cheeses and charcuterie will be served to complement the wines.
This tasting is designed for curious wine drinkers who enjoy discovering how familiar grapes can express themselves in surprising ways.
Spaces are very limited—please reserve your spot as early as possible for an unforgettable evening of exceptional wines and great company.
