Most people think they understand Spanish wine—bold reds, lots of oak, and reliable value.
But a new generation of winemakers is quietly changing that perception. Across regions like Galicia and Bierzo, wines are becoming fresher, more precise, and far more expressive of where they come from.
This tasting is designed to show you that shift.
We’ll start with a crisp, elegant Cava and a vibrant Albariño from the Atlantic coast, before moving into more characterful, small-production wines that most people rarely encounter.
At the heart of the evening are two wines from one of Spain’s most respected winemakers, Raúl Pérez—offering a completely different expression of Spanish wine, focused on old vines, balance, and a strong sense of place.
We finish with a structured Ribera del Duero, bringing a familiar style into the conversation—so you can clearly taste the contrast between traditional and modern Spain.
This is not a technical masterclass. It’s a relaxed, guided tasting designed to help you discover wines you wouldn’t normally choose—and understand why Spanish wine is far more exciting than most people realise.
