La Chablisienne owns the major part of the Grenouilles Grand Cru, centered on a winery called Château Grenouilles. This wine is powerful and still very young. It has weight and structure along with ripe, generous fruits that are typical of this vineyard. Touched by vanilla from wood aging which are now seamlessly integrated.
Wine Enthusiast says 'Yellow-peach and apricot flavors are intensely ripe yet filigree by veins of graphite and smoke. Earthen and a bit tense in youth, this concentrated, complex wine needs time to open. Approach from 2025. It should improve through 2040 and hold further.'
