La Clarté Haut Brion is the new name for Les Plantiers Haut Brion which is the second white wine of both Haut Brion Blanc and La Mission Haut Brion Blanc with only around 1,000 cases produced annually.
The wine presents a beautiful shade of light-yellow. The first nose is powerful and fruity, with lovely aromas of peach and quince. The nose reveals ripeness and is slightly woody, with a toasted scent. The first taste is smooth and full of flavour. The wine develops thanks to its majority of Sémillon (75%), with rich body on the palate, almost sweet, giving a feel of Southern France. The finish, with some lovely bitter notes, is very refreshing.
Expect intense notes of fresh pineapple, white peaches and lemon curd with suggestions of honeysuckle, paraffin wax and chalk dust. A medium to full-bodied palate delivers bags of juicy peaches and citrus flavors, accented by tropical fruit opulence and supported with refreshing acidity, finishing with a spicy kick.
