Sancerre Blanc, Comte Lafond, Loire Valley France 2023
Acquired by Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, Comte Lafond are internationally known to produce one of the finest Sancerre in the world. The lively and very frank attack precedes the acidulous roundness of the summer fruits expressed by the nose which are mingled with the refreshing flavors of exotic fruits (lychee, mango). Then, in delicate harmony, the fat and smells of fresh almond and pear are revealed. The finish, based on a stony minerality, is prolonged on notes of very ripe lemon.

Structured and deep with animal, smoky, toasty and tobacco scents. In the mouth juicy blackcurrants with cedar aromas, blood, iron, black olives, dried herbs as well as dried tomatoes and red peppers.
Firm, juicy, ripe & youthful with smooth tannins, lots of power and bite. The roasted, nutty and chocolaty aromas come through on the finish as does a touch of spice , dried tomatoes hint of caramel.
