Chardonnay, Kidnappers vineyard Craggy Range, Martinborough New Zealand, 2021

Highly rated Chardonnay produced in the traditional Chablis style. Due to being a three yearls old, it is now starting to gain that delicious complexity one expects from these premium Chardonnays. This wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks, large French oak vats and puncheons. This single-vineyard Chardonnay has an elegant, balanced and refined character. Pale lime to pale straw. Instantly you are reminded of the coastal nature of this vineyard, with oyster shell, sea spray and cashew all present in the bouquet. Overall, the mouth feels vibrant and fresh, with lively acidity, but not at the expense of flavour. Fresh lemon curd and supple oak round out a palate that is as delicious as it is refreshing.

La Cabane, Dome du Come du Thun, Gaillac France 2012

Perfectly ready to drink and with the possibility to age a couple more years. A new flagship of the winery - A wine that truly impressed us at Vintage82. Dark in colour, with slight purple reflections, it presents fine notes of ripeness and beautiful red fruits on the nose, is pleasantly flattering and shows a beautiful minerality. In the mouth it is powerful, with a nice balance.

Structured and deep with animal, smoky, toasty and tobacco scents. In the mouth juicy blackcurrants with cedar aromas, blood, iron, black olives, dried herbs as well as dried tomatoes and red peppers.

The Steading, Torbreck Vintners, Barossa Valley, Australia 2018

Drinking Fabulously!

Luxurious, precise and aromatic Grenache, Mourverdre and Syrah blend. The Steading is an extremely complex wine with a savoury profile. It has a fragrancy, purity of fruit, mid-palate concentration and savoury tannin profile that makes it an exemplary wine. Vibrant aromas of violet, star anise and spice all unfold to reveal an impressive array of underlying fruit flavours. Silky, succulent dark fruits, black olive, savoury earth, liquorice and Asian spice. These complex yet elegant flavours are all neatly interwoven with a perfect balance of acidity and supple, silky tannins. The Steading will continue to develop with time in the cellar, and provide those with patience great enjoyment well into the next decade.
