Ready, but will keep

Château Haut Bernat is a Puisseguin Saint Emilion red wine from the Right Bank of Bordeaux, grown on plateau vineyards with clay-limestone and clay-silica soils. Made mainly from Merlot, with Cabernet Sauvignon bringing structure, it reflects the generous fruit, freshness and balance of this satellite Saint Emilion appellation.

The wine is shaped by a careful, environmentally conscious approach in the vineyard, supported by HVE, Bee Friendly and Terra Vitis certifications. In the cellar, ageing in French oak barrels, amphorae and large wooden vats helps preserve fruit purity while adding depth, texture and refinement.

The nose opens with bright red fruit aromas, including raspberry and redcurrant, supported by subtle notes of liquorice.

On the palate, the wine is fresh and expressive, with red berry fruit lifted by delicate hints of blueberry and violet. The tannins are fine, rounded and well integrated, giving the wine a smooth structure and a long, balanced finish.

Food and wine pairings

A natural match for beef fillet en croûte, lamb navarin or traditional cassoulet. It also works well with roast lamb, slow-cooked beef dishes and mature cheeses with a firm texture.

Ageing potential of 10 to 15 years.

Serve at 16°C. Open at least 1 hour before tasting to allow the wine to express its fruit, structure and aromatic depth.
