2019 is the vintage that Chateau Angludet owner's James and Benjamin Sichel believe is one of their finest to date, even rivalling some of the biggest Margaux estates
The late Peter Sichel purchased d'Angludet in 1961 and it became his home for the next 37 years. The vineyards and cuverie, situated in Margaux, were in a deplorable condition when Sichel took over and it is due to his sheer will and determination that d`Angludet enjoys its high reputation today. Whilst Château d`Angludet is a Cru Bourgeois property, it regularly produces wines of grand cru classé quality.
D'Angludet is located in the Margaux appellation and its vineyards are situated at the 3-way intersection of the Cantenac, Arsac and Labarde communes. Surrounded by all the iconic names, this wine is very elegant indeed. Offering some decent bottle age, this wine is very well priced considering the quality it offers. The classic Bordeaux red wine blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, this is certainly a wine that whilst somewhat ready for drinking now, it will also able to be cellared for several years to come.
