Grenouilles is one of the rarest Chablis Grand Crus and is a legendary white wine with one of the most glorious expressions of minerality. This great wine reveals its true potential with time thanks to its exceptional ageing quality.

La Chablisienne owns the major part of the Grenouilles Grand Cru, centered on a winery called Château Grenouilles. This wine is powerful and still very young. It has weight and structure along with ripe, generous fruits that are typical of this vineyard.
True to their style, there is enough wood to comment on with its vaguely exotic nose of orange peel, lemon, passion fruit and lovely Chablis character. There is excellent volume and concentration to the plush but markedly intense big-bodied flavors that are shaped by citrus-tinged acidity on the bone dry, youthfully austere and equally tightly wound finish that offers just a bit more overall depth and length
Rating:
95/100 AA: Energetic and full-bodied, the Grenouilles presents a superb intensity of flavors in the brilliance preserved in its fruit: it's haunting finish evokes warm stone
93/100 James Suckling: Complex notes of dried lemons, waxed apples, fennel, wet stones and seashells follow through to a medium-bodied, mineral and savory palate. Lots of texture and focus. Drink or hold.
Food Pairing:
Flambéed langoustines, a tartare or a scallop carpaccio, a roast pike perch fillet or even a dessert (millefeuille) are refined pairings with this great white wine from Burgundy.
