Sourced from the finest Grand Cru parcels, this cuvée is a masterclass in restrained opulence. A wine for collectors, connoisseurs, and lovers of benchmark white Burgundy.
The pinnacle expression of Chablis, the Tête de Cuvée Grand Cru 2020 from Maison Régnard captures the purity, tension, and mineral brilliance that define this legendary terroir. Founded in 1860 and now under the guidance of Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, Régnard remains one of the oldest and most esteemed houses in Chablis, renowned for wines of precision and grandeur.
Sourced from the finest of the 7 Grand Cru parcels, planted on Kimmeridgian limestone‑marl soils (rich in marine fossils) on a southwest‑facing slope above Chablis town, this cuvée is a masterclass in restrained opulence and elegance. Aged on fine lees, it reveals layered complexity—ripe citrus, white peach, and flinty minerality—framed by subtle oak integration and a fine saline backbone. The 2020 vintage is notably fresh and vibrant, with exceptional energy and ageing potential.
In the glass, it offers richness without heaviness; a wine of aristocratic poise that commands attention at the table yet never overwhelms. The palate is fresh and structured. Full-bodied yet precisely balanced and exhibiting minerality and searing acidity that drives a long, precise finish.
Shellfish, lobster, Dover sole, or creamy poultry dishes. Being a top Grand Cru this wine is equally enjoyable with richer dishes such chicken & veal and is also an incredible wine to savour and enjoy on its own.
Beautifully presented in Régnard’s signature bottle, this statement piece is both visually and oenologically perfect for collectors, connoisseurs, and lovers of benchmark Grand Cru Chablis.
This Grand Cru will be enjoyable now, but has the ability to age till 2040.
We suggest decanting such a refined and opulent Chablis in order to release the aromas & flavours. Time: Decant for at least one hour and serve chilled at around 6-8 Degrees Celcius, however it would benefit from warming up slightly in the glass (till around 10 Degrees Celcius)
