Vintage’82 Is Now the Exclusive Malta Importer of Château Beauséjour (Duffau-Lagarrosse)
Vintage’82 is now the exclusive importer of Château Beauséjour (Duffau-Lagarrosse) in Malta. It is one of the smallest and most sought-after estates in Saint-Émilion, and we’re proud to be its partner on the island.
The estate
Beauséjour sits next to Château Angélus and Château Canon and makes only around 25,000 bottles a year. That’s comparable in size to Château Pétrus, and smaller than most Maltese wineries. Josephine Duffau, a member of the founding family, is the winemaker. She runs the estate with co-director Prisca Courtin-Clarins of the Clarins family. The 2025 vintage, still in barrel, has already been awarded 100 points by Falstaff.
Why exclusive matters
Beauséjour is changing how it sells. The château stays on the Place de Bordeaux, but works with a single négociant, who appoints one importer per country. Burgundy’s top domaines work in a similar way. The estate decides who sells its wine, where, and how it’s presented.
For Malta, that means one route from château to customer. If you buy Beauséjour here, it comes through us.
What it means for our clients
Whether you’re building a cellar, putting together a wine list, supplying a yacht, choosing a significant gift or investing in fine wine, we can now offer this wine directly. With such a small production, allocations will be limited and will go to clients who ask early.
vintages currently available:
