The winery was bought by the Bazzocchi family in the 40s and since the end of the 80s the current owner Lucia Bazzocchi Sanjust joined by her son Luca Sanjust, has changed the production aims and methods to concentrate exclusively on results of the highest quality.

Tenuta Petrolo is an enchanting estate located right in the center of Tuscany, between Arezzo, Florence and Siena, nestled on the south-eastern borders of the Chianti hills that overlook the whole Valdarno valley.
The Petrolo Estate is run by Luca Sanjust of the historic Bazzocchi-Sanjust family. Petrolo extends over 272 hectares between 250 and 400 meters above sea level, in an area known since early '800 for its prestigious wines.
